TENSE ( Time, काल, समय)
Definition : The word "Tense' comes from the Latin word 'tempus' which means time. So tense denotes the time of action of a verb. Such as:
परिभाषा : "Tense" शब्द लैटिन शब्द 'Tempus' से आया है जिसका अर्थ है समय। इसलिए Tense किसी क्रिया की क्रिया के समय को दर्शाता है। जैसे :-
1. He is watching television.
वह टेलीविजन देख रहा है।
2. My father went to market yesterday.
मेरे पिता कल बाजार गए थे।
3. They will go home tomorrow.
वे कल घर जाएंगे।
दोस्तों जैसे कि आप सभी जानते हैं कि Tense तीन प्रकार के होते हैं।
1. Present tense (वर्तमान काल)
2. Past tense ( भूतकाल)
3. Future tense (भविष्य काल)
और इन तीनों के भी 4 रूप होते हैं।
1. Simple
2. Continuous
3. Perfect
4. Perfect continuous
अगर इन्हें आपस मे मिला कर लिखा जाय तो ये कुछ इस तरह से होगा।

3.Future Continuous
3. Perfect

इस तरह से हमारा टेंस कुल 12 भागों में बट जाता है। आपको इसे अपने दाहिने हाथ की उंगलियों से बड़ी ही आसानी से याद कर सकते है।
दोस्तों आगे बढ़ने से पहले मैं आपसे कुछ सवाल पूछूंगा जिसका जवाब आप को देना है देखते हैं आप इनमें से कितना सवालों का सही जवाब दे पाते हैं।
मैं आपसे पांच सवाल पूछूंगा जिसका आपको इंग्लिश में ट्रांसलेट करना है। देखते हैं आप इन पांचों में से कितना सही और कितना गलत करते हैं।
1. मैं जाता हूँ।
2. मैं जाता था।
3. मैं जा चुका हूं।
4. मैं जा रहा हूँ।
5. वह जाता है।
हो सकता है इनमें से आपका एक भी जवाब सही न हो या ये भी हो सकता है की इनमे से आपका पूरा सवाल सही हो गया हो। आप अपने उत्तर की जांच इसमें कर सकते हैं।
1. मैं स्कूल जाता हूँ। - I go to school.
2. मैं स्कूल जाता था। - I went to school.
3. मैं स्कूल जा चुका हूं। - I have gone to school.
4. मैं स्कूल जा रहा हूँ। - I am going to school.
5. वह स्कूल जाता है। - He goes to school.
दोस्तों, मेरा आपसे ये सवाल पूछने का मकसद आपका इंग्लिश चेक करना बिल्कुल नही है मैं आपसे पाँच सवाल पूछा था जिसमे जा शब्द का इस्तमाल किया गया था। मैं आपसे ये प्रश्न पूछ कर आपको ये बताना चाहता हूं कि हिंदी में जा शब्द के लिये केवल जा का ही इस्तमाल किया गया है जबकि इंग्लिश में ऐसा नही है इंग्लिश में जा शब्द के लिये कभी go तो कभी went तो कभी gone तो कभी going तो कभी goes का इस्तेमाल किया गया है।
मतलब जंहा हिंदी में केवल एक शब्द से कम चल जाता है वन्ही इंग्लिश में आपको पांच शब्दों का इस्तमाल करना पड़ता है। अब मुश्किल ये है कि go कंहा लगेगा, went कंहा लगेगा, gone कंहा लगेगा, going कंहा लगेगा, और goes कंहा लगेगा। और इंग्लिश की ये जो समस्या है इससे लगभग 99% लोग ग्रसित है फर्क नही पड़ता कि वो हिंदी मीडियम से है या इंग्लिश मीडियम से। और अब हम जानेंगे कि आप इस समस्या से कैसे निजात पा सकते है।
दोस्तों, जैसे कि आप सभी जानते हैं कि go का मतलब जाना होता है और ये एक Verb है। मैं आपको बता दूं की Verb मतलब क्रिया होता मतलब कोई काम। जैसे :- आना, जाना, खाना, पीना, हंसना, रोना, जगना, सोना आदि। ये सब काम है क्रिया है Verb है।
और इंग्लिश में कोई भी Verb के पांच रूप होते हैं। जैसे : -
Go, went, gone, going goes.
Come, came, come, coming, comes.
Write, wrote, written, writing, writes आदि।
तो अब सवाल ये है कि हम कब Verb के 1st form (go) का इस्तेमाल करें, कब 2nd form (went का, कब 3rd form (gone) का, कब 4th form (going) का और कब 5th form goes का इस्तमाल करें ?
तो चलिये जानते हैं की, किस tense में Verb के कौन से form का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।
1. Simple tense
1.Present simple - V1/ V5 (go/ goes)
2.Past simple - V1/V2 (go/ Went)
3. Future simple - V1 (go)
2. Continuous tense
1.Present continuous - V4 ( going )
2.Past continuous - V4 ( going )
3. Future continuous - V4 ( going )
3. Perfect tense
1.Present perfect - V3 (Gone)
2.Past perfect - V3 (Gone)
3. Future perfect - V3 (Gone)
4. Perfect continuous tense
1.Present Perfect continuous - V4 (going)
2.Past Perfect continuous - V4 ( going)
3. Future Perfect continuous - V4 (going)
इसमें स्प्ष्ट रूप से बताया गया है कि किस टेन्स में verb के किस form का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। इसे आप अच्छे से याद कर लीजिए आगे आपका काम आएगा।
दोस्तों, इसी तरह Tense में बहुत सारे Helping Verb का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है जैसे : - does, do, did, will, shall, is,am,are,was,were, will be,shall be, has,have,had,will have,shall have, has been,have been, had been, will have been, shall have been etc. चलिये इसे भी जान लेते हैं कि किस helping verb का इस्तेमाल कौन से टेंस में किया जाता है।

1. Simple tense
1.Present simple - Dose, do
2.Past simple - did
3. Future simple - will, shall
2. Continuous tense
1.Present continuous - is, am, are
2.Past continuous - was, were
3. Future continuous - will be, shall be
3. Perfect tense
1.Present perfect - Has, have
2.Past perfect - Had
3. Future perfect - will have, Shall have
4. Perfect continuous tense
1.Present Perfect continuous - Has been, Have been
2.Past Perfect continuous - Had been
3. Future Perfect continuous - Will have been
चलिये अब जानते हैं कि किस टेन्स की क्या पहचान होती है और हिंदी में किस तरह से वाक्य बनाये जाते हैं।
1. Simple - ता, ती, ते।
Present simple - मैं जाता हूँ।
Past simple - मैं जाता था।
Future simple - मैं जाऊंगा।
2. Continuous - रहा,रही, रहे।
Present Continuous - मैं जा रहा हूं।
Past Continuous - मैं जा रहा था।
Future Continuous -- मैं जा रहा होऊँगा।
3. Perfect - चुका, चुकी, चुके।
Present perfect - मैं जा चुका हूं।
Past perfect - मैं जा चुका था।
Future perfect - मैं जा चुका होऊँगा।
4. Perfect continuous - ता रहा, ती रही, ते रहे।
Present Perfect continuous - मैं जाता रहा हूं।
Past Perfect continuous - मैं जाता रहा था।
Future Perfect continuous - मैं जाता रहा होऊँगा।
चलिये अब जानते हैं की इन सबको इंग्लिश में कैसे ट्रांसलेट किया जाता है।

2.Past simple - मैं जाता था। ( I went)
3. Future simple - मैं जाऊंगा। ( I will go.)
2. Continuous tense
1.Present continuous - मैं जा रहा हूँ।( I am going)
2.Past continuous - मैं जा रहा था।(I was going.)
3. Future continuous - मैं जा रहा होऊँगा। (I will be going.)
3. Perfect tense
1.Present perfect - मैं जा चुका हूँ। (I have gone. )
2.Past perfect - मैं जा चुका था। (I had gone. )
3. Future perfect - मैं जा चुका होऊँगा। (I will have gone. )
4. Perfect continuous tense
1.Present Perfect continuous -मैं जाता रहा हूँ। (I have been going. )
2.Past Perfect continuous - मैं जाता रहा था। (I had been going. )
3. Future Perfect continuous - मैं जाता रहा होऊँगा। (I will have been going. )

मैं जाता था। ( I went. )

3. Future simple
मैं आऊँगा। ( I will go.)
मैं नही जाऊंगा। ( I will not go.)
क्या मैं जाऊंगा ? (will I go ?)

मैं कंहा जाऊंगा ?( Where will I go ? )

मैं जा रहा हूँ। (I am going.)
मैं नही जा रहा हूँ। (I am not going.)
क्या मैं जा रहा हूँ ? (am i going ?)

मैं कंहा जा रहा हूँ ? ( Where am i going ?)
मैं कंहा जा नही रहा हूँ ? (Where am i not going ?)
2.Past continuous
मैं जा रहा था। (I was going.)
मैं नही जा रहा था। (I was not going.)
क्या मैं जा रहा था ? (was i going ?)

मैं जा रहा होऊँगा। (I will be going.)

मैं जा चुका होऊँगा। (I will have gone.)

मैं जाता रहा हूँ। (I have been going.)

मैं कंहा जाता रहा हूँ। (Where have I been going.)
